Five Natural Balms You Have to Try

24 Jan 2017

Balms are my favourite type of skincare product. I love using them to cleanse my face, remove make-up and for dry patches anywhere else. I've put together my top five natural & organic balms I think everyone should try in 2017.
Mallow + White Blossom Balm
The newest addition to my collection of balms, this is my collaboration product with Mallow + White. It's lovingly made with six organic ingredients; apricot kernel oil, sunflower oil, jojoba oil, beeswax, lavender oil & rosemary oil and is an amazing multi-purpose balm. I love using as a cleanser as it also works well at removing make-up but it's been amazing in the cold weather as an overnight treatment on my skin.
Use for: Cleansing/Overnight Treatment

Lyonsleaf Beauty Balm
An old time favourite of mine, this balm is full of babassu oil, shea butter and other nourishing ingredients however it also has palmarosa and clary sage which are both great for balancing the skin and why I love it. My skin is prone to breakouts but also has some dry patches so this is ideal for my skin. Lyonsleaf have recently created an Oil Cleansing Complete Kit which comes with a balm, five flannels, five muslin cloths in a handy drawstring bag which is ideal for beginners or travel.
Use for: Cleansing & Removing Make-Up

3107 London Heart & Soul Cleansing Balm
This beautiful balm smells absolutely heavenly thanks to the lavender, geranium and lemongrass oils. As it melts into an oil upon contact with your skin, it works to remove make-up and grime from the day effectively. I like using this as a first cleanse to remove make-up from the day before going in with an oil cleanser to thoroughly cleanse my skin after.
Use for: Removing Make-up

Skin & Tonic Steam Clean
This deliciously scented balm is great for cleansing normal or oily skin. It's amazing to use around this time of year, especially if you have a cold as it's scented with peppermint and eucalyptus. I use this if my skin is having a particularly spotty period as the ingredients are what I'd deem to be lighter than others mentioned above...
Use for: Cleansing when purifying the skin

MOA Green Balm
This handy balm is full of beeswax, coconut oil, sweet almond oil and yarrow which work together to nourish and moisturise the skin. It's great for particularly dry spots, itchy skin conditions, bites and grazes but also as an aftershave balm and facial cleanser.
Use for: Everything else
