Bamford Spring Cleanse Spa Day

6 May 2016

I was recently invited to a Spring Cleanse Spa Day from Bamford at Daylesford Farm and I let out a little squeal of excitement when I read the email! Bamford are an eco-luxe brand who make skincare, homeware & clothing, which is all very dreamy. I have wanted to visit Daylesford Farm for a while now but unfortunately they were fully booked when Paul & I had some time off work, so it was lovely to be able to visit and enjoy a treatment at the Bamford Haybarn Spa.

I drove down to Gloucestershire yesterday morning in the glorious sunshine and was welcomed in the Lavender Room with a fruit infused water, and a Seasonal Juice which was delicious.
I chose a Deep Tissue Massage and my therapist was very lovely. I chose an oil blend (balancing) and opted for a light pressure massage. The scent of the oils was beautiful - a mix of geranium, lavender & peppermint which was invigorating and energising. The massage itself was very nice and it let a lot of tension out of my shoulders which my therapist said was the main area I hold tension. She also said I chose the right blend as I am out of balance (too much work, not enough looking after myself!)
After the massage I headed back to the Lavender Room to chill out on one of the window seats looking out over the fields, then I took a tour of Daylesford Haybarn Spa & Barn.
Bamford have quite a few treatment rooms, along with yoga and pilates rooms and they now offer manicures and pedicures using Kure nail polishes which are one of my favourite polish brands. At Daylesford there's also the Bamford Barn which houses their homeware and clothing line, in the most beautiful courtyard. There's also more skincare and flowers in their shop, which are very dreamy!
After the tour it was time for lunch in the Lavender Room. Chicken bone broth was the starter, followed by the healthiest lunch I think I've ever had! Kale, avocado, raw slaw, apple, walnuts, broccoli, chicken...yep, very healthy...but delicious!
After a delicious lunch we went upstairs for yoga. As we had only just eaten it wasn't too strenuous but a lot of stretching and I felt relaxed after but definitely like I could do with another massage, haha! I'll have to head back for a full body scrub next time!

It was such a lovely day and wonderful to hear more about Bamford and experience their products. I'll definitely be returning to Daylesford and it would be the perfect place for a girly weekend away or hen-do...their cottages are beautiful! I left with a beautiful gift bag full of Bamford goodies which I am extremely excited to try...I'll let you all know how I get on with them.
Thank you to Emma, Poppy & Amelia for inviting me and everyone at the spa for making it such a wonderful day.
