Ere Perez Natural Make Up Review

18 Mar 2016

Naturisimo are welcoming a few new make-up brands to their online store and one of them is Ere Perez, a natural Australian brand.

I was sent a selection of their products including a highlighter, mascara and blusher so I'm going to share my thoughts on each of them.

My favourite out of the three has to be the Versatile Vanilla Highlighter* in the shade "Falling Star" without a doubt. This cream highlighter is a gorgeous rose gold shade with slight shimmer throughout. It is the perfect cheek bone highlight and adds a gorgeous glow to your face without any sparkle or overpowering glitter. It is cream and so I like to apply this with my Real Techniques Contour brush which is a little bit of an unusual choice, however I don't like using this with powder bronzers, so it has become my go-to brush for applying highlight. The only issue I've had with this is the silver container that the blush sits in, inside the packaging has come un-stuck so it can rattle around a bit inside.

The Pure Rice Powder Blush* has two shades, a light and a dark which can be used individually or together.  The compact I have is the "My Blush" shade which claims to be a "universal soft tan". Trying to swatch this blusher is pretty tough as they're not that pigmented, however when you use a brush it seems to pick up more product than using fingers. So I've tried to swatch although it didn't come off that well. I would say the description of universal soft tan is pretty accurate, and it seems to work well as a bronzer too for my skin tone. I like how tan colours look with my skin so I've been enjoying using both shades separately, and also swirled together for a middle shade.

And finally we have the Natural Almond Oil Mascara* which boasts ingredients like almond oil, vitamin E, beeswax and avocado oil that condition and strengthen lashes, whilst offering length and "glossy black lashes". It claims to be smudge-proof and water resistant and let me tell you, this is a pain to get off! I will have a shower, cleanse my face after and the next morning I could still get a little more off my lashes. Although it has long-lasting power, unfortunately for me it just isn't volumising enough. My lashes are already super long so I don't look for lengthening mascaras, however if you do I would recommend trying this as it has nourishing ingredients that will take care of your lashes whilst you are wearing it.

So overall I would say the first impressions of this brand are great. I would definitely buy the highlighter again and would like to try more from their range as it is really affordable too.
