Green People Volumising Mascara | Beauty Review

19 May 2015

Back in December I won a competition on the lovely Chesca's blog, Fern + Moss, for a few pieces of Green People make-up. I won one of their eyeshadow palettes, an eyeliner and their mascara. I didn't open the mascara straight away as I had a couple on the go already so I've been using it for around 2-3 months now so I'm going to share my thoughts.

Green People Volumising Mascara is made with 98.4% natural ingredients and 15% organic ingredients. It has natural mineral pigments for intense black colour as well as vitamin E, sunflower oil and beeswax to condition lashes.

Below you can see no mascara (curled lashes), one coat and two coats.

As you can see, it is lengthening as well as volumising with no clumping even on the second coat. I absolutely love this mascara and would say it is in my top two natural mascaras that I have tried along with the Pacifica one (but I would put this as top as it's easier to get hold of in the UK). It has no silicones or harsh ingredients like mainstream mascaras and it is easy to remove with cleanser at night. I wear contact lenses so mascaras that flake are a big no-no for me, but I can safely say this natural mascara doesn't flake and I've had no irritation to my eyes at all.

At £14.95 it is more expensive than the likes of those you'll find at Boots however I actually tried the RMS Defining Mascara on Saturday when I went to Content and I really liked that too - but it is £24 - so I didn't jump to buy it straight away. Having just read the ingredients for this post, they looked very similar to those in the RMS one (I checked them out for my Periscope video I did for Barbara from Circaroma) so I just double checked, and they're pretty much exactly the same give or take the order of the ingredients. So if you are, by co-incidence, deciding between RMS Defining Mascara & Green People Volumising Mascara, the ingredients are very similar and they're both volumising but I would probably say RMS has a bit more definition and can be built up more to give you dark, stuck together lashes (which I like!)...it's just comes down to whether that's worth the extra £10...
