Ruby Red Revive & Repair Body & Bath Set | Beauty Review

1 Apr 2015

I was recently sent a gift set from Ruby Red, an award winning natural skincare brand that I've seen a lot of on Twitter, but have never tried before.

The Revive & Repair Body & Bath Set* contains a Body Cleanser and a Body Moisturiser with moisturising aloe leaf and invigorating oils of Lime, Red Mandarin, Cedarwood & Coriander which makes them both uplifting and moisturising. They are both free from SLS, parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic perfumes and dyes and the brand is cruelty free as well as made in the UK.
As I recently went on holiday, I took the body cleanser (shower gel) with me as it's the perfect travel size. I got a little burnt in the sun and the aloe helped to reduce redness and the scent was really uplifting and perfect for the warm weather we had. It foamed up really well and left me feeling clean & refreshed.

The body moisturiser has lime, aloe, mandarin, cedarwood & coriander like the shower gel, but it also includes sweet almond oil, olive oil, shea butter and babassu oil for extra moisture. It is quite a light moisturiser but it sinks in quickly without feeling greasy but it does moisturise well. It smells just as strong as the shower gel & is really uplifting so it's nice to use in the mornings and it'll be lovely in the summertime.

This set would be perfect for travelling or as a gift and is priced at £28.00 for the two 100ml products. However if you want larger sizes, they don't come in at the cheapest at £32 for the shower gel and £48 for the moisturiser however you do get 500ml bottles so they'll last you like, almost forever. I did like the products however they didn't wow me so the price tag isn't justified in my opinion.

Ruby Red is now available in Harvey Nichols, Fortnum and Mason, Planet Organic, John Bell and Croyden and specialist independent beauty boutiques.

  3. I like the sound of the scent combination, I am a bit lime obsessed at the moment but at those prices I may just stick with Bodhi and Birch or wait for an offer Xx
