Josh Rosebrook Oculus Formula | Beauty Review

30 Apr 2015

As a beauty blogger, I get emails in my inbox fairly often about new product releases and product reviews which is always exciting but it's even more exciting when I almost squeal with excitement when I see the subject line...that's what happened when I received an email from the lovely Liz who runs the PR for A Beautiful World about their newest release...Josh Rosebrook's Oculus Formula

Fresh from over the pond, Josh Rosebrook's products have caused a stir over here in the UK and a personal favourite of mine is his Hydrating Accelerator which I am savouring every last drop of until I can buy another bottle! His newest product release, the Oculus Treatment is an oil-based eye product to protect and regenerate delicate skin, visibly brighten, firm and strengthen and minimize and prevent fine lines.
The oils and herbs that Josh has combined work together to help hydrate the under eye area and deliver anti-inflammatory properties too. The base of the product is rich in Camelina Seed Oil which is extremely high in essential fatty acids and Vitamin E whilst Hemp Seed Oil boasts a vast array of rich phytonutrients including potent antioxidants and deep nourishing vitamins and minerals. Also included in the base is Sunflower oil, Coconut oil, Grapeseed oil and Almond oil, which all work together to make a beautiful, lightweight formula. Alfalfa, Fennel and Chickweed are rich in Vitamins A & B which firm and brighten whilst helping to smooth fine lines and soften roughness thanks to the chlorophyll antioxidants. Echinacea and Calendula are anti-inflammatory and work to calm and soothe the delicate eye area along with Eyebright which stimulates collagen production too. Two ingredients that are also in my favourite Hydrating Accelerator are Skullcap and Slippery Elm, which are two unusual herbs that I've only ever seen in Josh's products but they are both anti-inflammatory too which helps to reduce puffiness. Lastly but certainly not least is Vitamin C rich Bilberry which also helps to brighten and plump the under eye area. To finish off the treatment, Josh has infused essential oils of Rose, Geranium, Lavender, Blue Chamomile and Carrot Seed to give this oil a wonderfully delicate scent without being irritating to the eyes.
The applicator is a sleek, glass jar with a metal rollerball at the end which feels amazing on your eyes in the mornings and at night (especially if you put it in the fridge!) Having it in see-through glass means you can see how much you have left and not have to worry about running out without knowing, however this does mean you have to keep it in a cool, dark place out of sunlight as to not affect the product at all. I've been keeping mine in the fridge as it feels so cooling under the eyes with the metal rollerball.

Of course, having bright under eyes doesn't just come from using a product, drinking plenty of water and getting lots of sleep is important too but having a product full of this many gorgeous ingredients is always a bonus! I've been trying this out for about a week & a half now using it every night so not very long...although I have seen a small difference I will keep you all updated in a few more weeks!

You can get this from 1st May exclusively on A Beautiful World who are offering 10% discount with the code JOSH10 as an introductory offer.

  2. Lovely pictures and review! I'm currently using Josh Rosebrook's moisturizing cleanser, and it seems like the whole range of Josh Rosebrook is amazing. Right now, I'm staying loyal to Skin Apotheke's eye cream which works well for me, but I do enjoy a good oil roll-on ;-) #neverendingshoppinglist xx
