Green People Age Defy+ Organic Tinted DD Moisturiser | Beauty Review

23 Mar 2015

Back in February I received an exciting email from Green People about one of their new product releases. I'm sure everyone has seen or heard of their new release by now; a DD cream. Carrying on the trend of BB and CC creams, Green People have released their UK's first organic certified tinted moisturiser and I have to say, it's amazing!

The DD (Daily Defence) Tinted Moisturiser* is a part of their Age Defy+ range however it's not just for those looking for an anti-ageing solution. It has Sea Fennel stem cells that brighten, firm and renew your skin as well as squalane, shea butter and jojoba oil to deliver moisture and a lovely glow. It has SPF 15 to protect your skin from the sun and defend against harmful UVA and UVB rays as well which is perfect for me as I never usually wear an SPF...I know I know, it's naughty!
This DD cream gives what I would say is a light/medium coverage and gives your skin an instant pick-me-up and a gorgeous healthy glow. It won't cover any huge spots but it certainly evens out your skin tone and makes your skin look really nice & dewy. You can apply with a brush or just with your fingers but I prefer with a brush as it does need blending in pretty quickly as it dries quite speedily. The airless pump is also a great feature in this product as it means there's no pumping out too much or sticking your fingers inside to get the product out!

It does come in at a pricey £34.95 which is very expensive in my opinion for a tinted moisturiser - that's more than what I pay for my organic foundations, however it does make my skin look radiant so I think I would buy it for myself in the future. The only other downside is that it only comes in ivory, light or medium so if you have dark skin, unfortunately you'll have to pass on this. If you're not sure whether to go for ivory/light/medium, Green People send out a sample sachet of all three when you order so they recommend trying the sachet first before the actual product to make sure you've made the right selection, which is great as it saves you wasting your money!

Have you tried this natural DD cream? What did you think?

  1. I've been trialling this also and I'm still on the fence. I just can't seem to get it blended before it dries!! What brush have you been using with it? :) xx

  2. Hi Katie, we're sorry to hear you've been having trouble blending this product! We like to use a domed kabuki brush or duel-fibre brush for an airbrushed finish or clean fingers! If you would like any more advice please contact us on Twitter or email me directly at amy@greenpeople.co.uk! :) Amy x

  5. Hi Amber,

Thanks for the review! I'm still in two minds about this - do you know if Green People send out a sample before purchase?

    Thanks!

  6. I picked up a sample sachet of this but not tried it yet! It's a bit too pricey for me though, I'm still using Madara's tinted moisturiser for that light coverage glowy look :) x
