Top 5: Natural & Organic Foundations & Concealers

29 Jan 2015

I didn't get round to posting my favourites of 2014 and figured it a little late now however I'm going to start sharing my "Top 5's" starting with Foundations and Concealers.

Living Nature Foundation - I love love love this. I wrote a full review of it here if you want to read that but it's just a lovely foundation that for me gives medium coverage. Luckily after using natural skincare products my skin has improved a lot so I don't need full coverage anymore and one pump of this covers my whole face. It makes my pores look less significant and I just need a bit of concealer whenever I have blemishes and then under my eyes but it covers any redness or imperfections easily and stays put for hours.

RMS Un Cover Up - I haven't actually written about this on my blog yet and I'm not sure why because I really like it. I probably wouldn't call it a "holy grail" concealer as it does still crease under my eyes however, this helps to cover up my dark circles and my dark circles are pretty bad. I bought it when I went to New York in February last year so it was $36 which is way cheaper than the £28 I would have paid had I bought it here in the UK. As you can see, I still have loads left too as you only need a small amount each time! I use the shade 11.

Sappho Organic Liquid Foundation - I have the shade "Rachel" and it is the perfect match for me. It goes on smoothly and offers a medium coverage. It doesn't cover any big red nasty spots however that can easily be fixed with a little concealer. It gives a lovely glow to my skin and doesn't look cakey - probably my holy grail foundation.

Madara Tinting Fluid - I bought this last year in the Sun Flower shade and then as a free gift from My Pure, picked up the smaller size in the Moonflower shade which is much better for me most of the year. I'll use Sun Flower in the summer. I really like just whacking this on if I feel like wearing a bit of make-up but don't necessarily need anything as covering as a foundation.

Vapour Illusionist Concealer - I was kindly given this in a goody bag from Imelda at Content when we visited for the Field Trip Tour organised by the CIV girls back in July. It is a light coverage concealer however it has a lovely glow to it so I love using this to highlight cheekbones and under my eyes. I used this in my "Contouring & Highlighting" video but upon writing this post, I realised I don't use it anywhere near enough! It works great if you haven't had much sleep the night before!

What's your favourite natural/organic foundation or concealer?

  3. Right now using Lily Lolo powder concealer, which I'm very happy about. The only downside is that it's difficult to wash off.. or maybe that's a good quality? haha
I've also tried Alima Pure's concealer which also gave off a natural and nice finish.
I was sceptic about powder concealers at first, but they're really easy to work with!

  4. The Living Nature foundation is high on my to-try list! It sounds great. Hopefully they'll have a shade light enough for my pale skin. xxx

  5. I need to try more natural foundations... they are just so expensive to buy and I am terrified of getting the wrong shade!

Glad to hear I am a perfect match for you ;-) (Rachel- foundation shade name)

I thought the Vapour concealer was nice but I prefer something with a bit more heavy duty coverage which is why I love Christopher Drummond.
