Heartwood Candle Co - Sweet Orange, Cinnamon & Clove

1 Dec 2014

Last year I won a Sweet Orange, Cinnamon & Clove candle from the Heartwood Candle Co on Hephzibah's blog - Good for Me, Good for You. Thank you Hephzibah, Laura & Dominique!

Heartwood Candle Co are run by two friends, Laura & Dominique in St. Albans. With Laura's background as an aromatherapist and Dominique's love of design, they created a range of beautiful candles. They are made entirely from 100% natural ingredients and the packaging is environmentally friendly. They donate 10% of their profits to The Woodland Trust and named their company after their local woodland; the Heartwood Forest.
Heartwood Candle Company Review

I did win this candle last year but I never got round to lighting it for some reason! I loved having it all wrapped up in the packaging and it did smell gorgeous just having it on my dressing table. The colours of the packaging also go really well with my wallpaper so it was a nice little decoration in my room.

As the weather has started to get cold again, I am feeling really festive & ready for Christmas so I decided the Sweet Orange, Clove & Cinnamon Candle this year. And boy am I glad I did! It smells absolutely divine. If you have an idea in your head of what Christmas smells like, it's that in a candle! I love it.

"Cold outside, but heart is warm,
Footsteps crunch on frosty morn.
Celebrations, mince pies & mulled wine
Wonderful festive wintertime!"
Heartwood Candle Company Review
The candles cost £20.00 and have a burn time of 50 hours which I think is an excellent price for such a high-quality candle with soy wax and essential oils. These would make gorgeous Christmas gifts too as they already come wrapped up for you! Heartwood Candles come gift wrapped in recycled, acid-free tissue paper with a raffia box, recycled gift tag and a candle scent card. You can even add a personal gift message at checkout.

Have you tried a Heartwood Candle? What's your favourite scent?

*I won this in Hephzibah's competition but all opinions are my own and are 100% honest.
