VitaBella Spa in a Box

30 Oct 2014

VitaBella recently won an award from Janey Lee Grace for their Spa in a Box kit and were asking on Twitter if any bloggers would be interested in reviewing a box. I jumped at the chance because I've tried their moisturiser from one of the first Souk Souk boxes and remembered really liking it so I thought it would be a good opportunity to try more from their range.

The box is one facial treatment, giving you a mini spa treatment in your own home. Inside you get an anti-ageing face mask and a 15ml sample of their moisturiser to finish off your facial and it claims to increase skin hydration by over 20%.

The mask has loads of nourishing and hydrating ingredients which leave your skin feeling really smooth. Natural aloe vera gel has a soothing and anti-inflammatory effect, argan oil is a natural antioxidant and helps to repair skin with its essential fatty acids. One of the greatest ingredients in this kit (in my opinion anyway..) is the hyaluronic acid which is naturally found in the skin and can hold up to 1000 times its own weight in water. Hibiscus Seed proteins act as a natural exfoliant and help to soften skin whilst Wheat Germ Oil helps to reduce skin drying with vitamins A, D & E.

So onto the actual product itself...does anyone remember those flannels you used to buy as a kid and it comes as a little scrunched up tablet, you add water and ta-dah, it's a flannel?! Well this is the same sort of thing apart from ta-dah, it's a face mask! You get a teeny little tablet in the pot and you add the anti-ageing liquid to unravel a face mask. You leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes and then finish off with the moisturiser.

Results?

My skin honestly felt smooth, hydrated and it looked refreshed. I was quite impressed! I put it to the ultimate test and used just the moisturiser that came inside the box before bed. I normally use an oil however I wanted to see how well this mask worked and I can say...I woke up and my skin looked really good. There were no dry patches, it looked smooth & felt really nice too.

You can buy it directly from VitaBella for £20.00 per box which is a little on the expensive side if you think about it only being one mask however the moisturiser would last you a couple of months as well.

  3. I loved those flannels! I don't think I would pay £20 for the kit unless I really liked the moisturiser, but if its the same as the one in the Souk Souk box then it wasn't for me. I like the idea of a Spa in a Box though :) Great action shot! x

  4. Interesting mask! Seems the results are awesome!
What is really strange is that Vitabella has exactly the same products (composition wise) as Dermaplant, french brand I reviewed a while ago…

  5. Great idea, much like the Pinks Boutique Try Me Sets. I'm not sure I'd shell out £20 for the experience though! x

  6. I have seen this product before and I like the idea of a special treatment mask but as the comments before me, the price does not fit my budget. It could make a nice gift for someone :)
