Nourish Golden Glow Toning Body Shimmer | Beauty Review

10 Aug 2014

It's been so hot & sunny in the UK recently (typically it's chucking it down with rain today!) and I've been using the Nourish Golden Glow Toning Body Shimmer to give my skin a lovely sunkissed glow. This is a re-packaged version of their Souffle however this is more travel friendly & comes in a pump bottle rather than a jar.

Nourish Golden Glow Toning Body Shimmer* is a lotion that aims to give you a natural & healthy, sunkissed glow. It is full of shea butter, argan oil, and aloe vera as well as Frankincense & Myrrh oil (how luxurious!) It is 100% natural and is made with 77% organic ingredients.

"Light reflecting particles even skin tone, giving a smooth lustrous appearance and a naturally healthy sun-kissed glow. Golden resins of frankincense and myrrh, combined with a nutrient rich phyto-active marine extract, tone the skin, firming and boosting suppleness. With super-hydrating hyaluronic acid and tripeptides to stimulate the production of collagen, skin feels smoother, softer and has a refined, fresh appearance."

As you can (hopefully!) see from the photos it gives a lovely sheen & glow to the skin. I agree completely with its claim of a "natural sun-kissed glow". It doesn't look glittery at all and the shimmery particles are very fine. It stays on all day long and looks so nice when the sun hits your skin. It's really hard to get this on camera but I hope you can see the effect as its really lovely - try moving your screen a little to see the fine shimmer particles. As the shimmer particles are very fine, I think this would look lovely at Winter time too if you're bearing your skin in the cold weather! Just don't apply too much as it can go a little patchy.

As far as "toning" goes, I wouldn't apply this body lotion everyday so I can't comment on that and I don't really think any body care product can really "tone" up your skin but it does definitely even out my skin tone and give a lovely glow to the skin which makes me look healthier & dewy!

The ingredients on the box don't quite match the order on the website...Nourish have put Aloe Vera as the second ingredient on the website which isn't exactly great...I contacted the lady who e-mailed me about reviewing this product a couple weeks ago & she said that she'd contact the Nourish website person to change it but as of yet it hasn't changed...

  7. I have a sample of the face shimmer and thought it was terrible lol, a body version is a better idea because shimmery legs and summer tans are a nice combination when on holiday :)
