On the Beach with Studio 78 Paris | Beauty Review

29 Jul 2014

When I visited the amazing-ness that is Content Beauty on the Field Trip Tour at the beginning of July I pretty much headed straight to the make-up section to try out ILIA, Kjaer Weis, Studio 78, RMS, W3LL People and Vapour.

Myself and Liz (WellMeaningBeing) were oohing and aahing over all of the beautiful shades and I ended up swatching some Studio 78 blushes and eyeshadows. One of the colours really stood out to me and I guess I was having a "peachy" day as it was a similar shade to the lipstick I had already picked up from ILIA; Funnel of Love.

Studio 78 is a natural French brand originating from Paris. They have foundations, blushers, bronzers, eyeshadows, a mascara and a much loved concealer that I know a few people have tried. Studio 78 We Walk Blush is a baked formula, made from natural mineral powders and oils including organic Coconut, Avocado and Apricot Oils as well as Olive Oil and Chamomile Extracts. 99% of the total of the ingredients are natural and 12% are from organic agriculture.

I bought the shade "01 On the Beach" which is a gorgeous peachy tone and whilst searching on the internet for reviews/swatches I couldn't find any so I thought I'd pop some on here so there are some for people to find!

The colour is absolutely gorgeous and suits me so well. It's really pigmented and goes on smoothly without looking cakey or over the top. It blends onto my cheeks easily and I love that it is made from mineral powder but its baked as you will probably all know that je déteste loose powders! (Like my french there? ;))

The packaging is made from cardboard so I'm a little worried that it might start to get a bit ruined in a few months amongst my other products but I'll try to be careful. What I do love about the packaging is that there is a mirror in the lid which is great for touch-ups during the day.

I'm wearing this in my Get Ready with Me video if you would like to see it on my face!

Have you tried anything from Studio 78? Any recommendations? Their eyeshadows looked gorgeous too...

  2. Thank you for this! You're so right, it's very difficult to find any swatches for Studio 78 and I'd never paid attention to their blushes before your post. Loved that you used some French hehe, and the colour is "très jolie" on you ;) xx
