June Favourites 2014

24 Jun 2014

Back another with another monthly favourites video. I like writing these as it's fun to round up everything that I've been enjoying using throughout the month. This is up a little early as I am off to Amsterdam on Sunday woohoo!

I made a video to go along with this post too which is below or you can keep reading to read all about my favourites for the month of June!

Back in May I visited the lovely peeps at Beefayre HQ & had a look around their grounds and inside their beehives. You can read all about my trip here. I only just got round to lighting my candles as my room has been re-decorated and I didn't have anywhere I could light them. I'm so happy now though, I pop both of my candles on my windowsill in the day and move them to my bedside table at night when I light them. This one smells so lovely, its not a very strong scent but its light, refreshing & summery.

Circaroma Nurturing Vetiver & French Lavender Body Lotion*
I was recently sent a few products from this organic skincare brand and this has to be my favourite. It smells lovely, is really lightweight and sinks into your skin so quickly. I've written a full review here.

Alchemy Oils Grapefruit Hair Remedy*
I raved about this hair remedy in my review. It is my new favourite hair oil as it just makes my hair really soft & it cleans my roots of any product built-up. It's made up of five different oils that each have their own benefits and it smells amazing!

Fresh Therapies Nail Polish Remover*
Since changing to green beauty, nail polish remover, perfume & toothpaste were the last things that I changed. I had started using greener nail polishes but still using the mainstream acetone filled remover was ruining the skin around my nails, making them brittle and weak. Since using this, the skin around my nails has improved so much and my nails are actually shiny after using this. I'd highly recommend this if you're looking for an alternative to mainstream removers. Plus it smells like lime...yum! (Full review)

Deep Steep Honeydew Spearmint Body Butter
I was recently sent a huge box of goodies very kindly by Ria for her blog birthday giveaway. I had commented the most on her blog since she started so she very generously sent me some products. I was over the moon to receive everything - she was so so generous!! Amongst the goodies was this Deep Steep Body Butter which smells SO good. I'm going to be taking this to Amsterdam with me. It smells so fruity and summery. It's really thick but I like that as its so moisturising but it doesn't feel greasy. I need to stop rambling on otherwise this is going to turn into a full on review. It's the first Deep Steep product that I've tried so I'm looking forward to trying more now!

Ollie + Max Soap Co. Coconut Vanilla Deodorant
I have not smelt bad for the whole of June. Seriously. I'm not kidding. This deodorant smells so good and is hands down the best natural deodorant I have tried. And I've tried a fair few. I was on the lookout for a new deodorant and spent a while trawling through Etsy and found this beauty that was on sale. Including delivery to the UK from USA it cost me £10 which I think is a bargain. The formula went a bit annoying but its because in my room, the sun shines through my window for the majority of the day so it melted. I popped it in the fridge and left it in for too long and it went solid...then it melted back down and left a layer of oil on the top. I'm rambling. Anyway, after a lot of stirring every time I use it, the oil has now gone & its back to normal when I first got it in the post. It smells SO good & so do I! They also do a range of other scents such as Tea Tree & Lavender, Bay Rum, Vanilla Sandalwood, Honeysuckle Gardenia, Lemongrass, Jasmine Vanilla & also an Unscented so go & check their page out! Delivery to the UK only took 4 days too!

Finally, here is a funny photo of Muffin & Persie fighting whilst I was trying to take my photos for this post! They were rattling the stool & all my products were rolling everywhere haha!

I hope you enjoyed watching & reading about my June Favourites. What have been your favourite this month?

  3. Great video & favourites, so now do you have Deep Steep Addiction like me? The honeydew spearmint is one of my favs but to be honest most of their scents are great. You have got me interested in the Circaroma lotion as I was wanted something a bit lighter than my Deep Steep body butter :)

    1. Thanks Sarah! Yes I think I might have an addiction soon...what else do you recommend? The Circaroma lotion is lovely - its much much lighter than the body butter but it just sinks in so smoothly and moisturises just enough :)
