Favourite Natural Make-up Tag

1 Apr 2014

I was recently tagged by Rachel from All Natural Aspirations to do this tag, Favourite Natural Make-up. The tag was created by Amber (great name ;)) over at All Naturally Beautiful.

What is your favourite foundation?

At the minute I have been loving my new Living Nature Foundation. It is a liquid foundation from a New Zealand based company that goes on smoothly, offers a medium coverage and stays on for hours. You can read my review on it here. I often wear this if I'm going out in the evening and sometimes in the day if I have appointments or feel like wearing make-up. However I also love the Madara Tinting Fluids which offers a light coverage as well as great moisture. I have both shades and the Moon Tint is ideal for my skin at the minute but when I have a tan the Sun shade is great!

What type of foundation do you prefer? Mineral, Liquid or Cream?

I prefer liquid foundation purely because I am always sitting with my hands on my face (bored at work ha!) and feel that mineral foundation wouldn't hold up well enough for me. I've never tried a cream but I like liquid so I'll stick to what I like at the minute!

Have you found a favourite natural mascara?

I do really like my Avril mascara that I got in a Souk Souk box a few months ago but it's starting to run out so I bought the Neal's Yard Lengthening Mascara that I've tried a couple of times and like. These are the only two that I've tried though so I'll have to keep testing out some more I think until I find 'The One'.

In your opinion, what company makes the best pigments for eye shadows?

I've only tried a few natural branded eyeshadows but I do love the Lily Lolo shades and I've recently bought some from Concrete Minerals that are extremely pigmented! I have also just treated myself to a palette from Neve Cosmetics that I love! It's full of nudes which are my favourite. I'll be doing a full post on this soon with a review and swatches!

Have you tried to make any of your own natural make up? If so, how did it turn out?

Nope, never tried it I wouldn't even know where to start haha! I did actually see a DIY Body Bronzer from Indie Lee which looked really fab! (link)

What make up item was the hardest to switch over to a natural alternative?

Probably foundation! I was using Estee Lauder Doublewear which gave a lovely finish and covered up my blemishes really well but now that my skin is better, I don't need such a heavy one and I'm loving my Living Nature one so far!

Do you have any holy grail natural or non-toxic make up products?

At the minute I wouldn't say any of the products I use are 'holy grail' products but I am loving my everyday make-up routine at the minute, I'll do a post on it soon!

What is your go-to non-toxic lip product?

I would say my new lip gloss/balm from Pulpe de Vie (post coming soon) it's a gorgeous balm with a hint of colour!

What is your favourite natural cosmetics brand?

I don't think I have enough products from just one brand to answer this! I do love my RMS Un-Cover Up concealer and their lip stain that I've tried is gorgeous! But I also love Living Nature from the products that I've tried from them!

I tag:

Ana from Ana Goes Green
Jen from Jen's Green Skincare
Annmarie from Small but Mighty Redhead

Can't wait to read more on this tag!
