Products to Try in 2014

5 Feb 2014

I was catching up on my blog reading on BlogLovin and found Ana's post about her products that she wants to buy in 2014. She was collaborating with Taylor from the blog Simply Joy who has just started transitioning to green beauty so she had a lot of brands she wanted to try. I have picked a few products from brands that are on my wishlist for 2014! I am going on holiday tomorrow to New York so I will be buying plenty of American brands there so I thought I'd focus on British brands to try when I get back!

Bodhi: This brand has been on my wishlist for months, pretty much since I started blogging and came across the luxuriously packaged, beautiful products. The benefits of having a boyfriend who is a physiotherapist = massages! The downside of him being a boy = doesn't use nice products so when I do get massages it's often with a naff body oil haha not ungrateful one bit... ;). The Ginger Brew massage oil sounds absolutely divine and would be ideal for me as I am very much into fitness and exercise so this would help with my sore muscles! There are many more products on my wishlist from Bodhi; the Rosemsary Chi Himilayan Detox Salt Scrub, Desert Rose Facial Oil and Cacao Cocoon Lip Treatment Balm to name a few.

Odylique: Essential Care are one of the first brands I came across whilst transitioning to green products and I've tried a couple of samples from the brand but they are making a few changes to their brand and have re-named to Odylique by Essential Care, with the second step of their brand change coming in the Spring. I recently saw their Superfruit Concentrate Serum reviewed on a couple of blogs and it sounds divine. I also love all of their new packaging!

Antipodes: I was first attracted to Antipodes as I came across their Grapeseed cleanser however I think it would be too rich for my blemish-prone skin so I think the Manuka Honey mask sounds more up my street. Fragranced with vanilla pod and mandarin....I'll definitely love this!

Raw Gaia: I have seen their face masks posted on a few fellow bloggers blogs and they sound lovely but I think I'm going to start trying out the Oil Cleansing Method and this jojoba oil would be perfect for my oily, blemish-prone skin. Jessica the owner of the company is just so enthusiastic about her products and this really comes across in her videos. She has recently launched the chance to become an Organic Facial Therapist in collaboration with the brand which is amazing!

I hope you enjoyed this post, make sure you go & visit Taylor's and Ana's post too!
What are your brands to try this year?

  10. Great post! You will love Bodhi's Rosemary Chi Himalayan Detox Salt Scrub, it smells delicious and really leaves your skin soft and moisturised. I should be on a spending ban for the entire year as I'm a student at the moment but I have dipped my toes into a small brand called Leahlani Skincare from Hawaii. Apparently some amazing products judging from what I've read so I ordered a small Day kit to try it out, should be arriving soon. I'm also keen on trying out Pollen&Wax, their products sound lovely!
