Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel Review

25 Feb 2014

I was browsing the web whilst on holiday back in December trying to take advantage of some January sales and came across Only Naturals who were having a £5 off sale when you spend over £30.00. I had seen this cleansing gel recommended by a few bloggers - Vivianna Does MakeUp, A Model Recommends, British Beauty Blogger but more importantly Ana from Ana Goes Green uses it too so I knew it must be good! I always trust Ana's opinion!
OSKIA Renaissance Cleansing Gel Review
Oskia aren't a brand I had heard of before but after looking through their products I can tell that I would definitely love to try more!

"OSKIA's multi-award winning, high performance, nutritionally-designed, natural skincare range has a unique dual-action approach to delaying the signs of premature ageing. Supplying the skin with a comprehensive diet of essential cell nutrients (vitamins, minerals, proteins or amino acids, glucides and essential fatty acids) from both the inside and the outside to help rebuild cell health and efficiency, and harnessing outstanding pioneering bio-actives clinically proven to further promote a radiant, younger-looking complexion."
OSKIA Renaissance Cleansing Gel Review
It is described as an "illuminating vitamin & pumpkin enzyme facial cleanser that cleanses, softens and brightens the skin". It contains Vitamins A, C & E, Starflower Oil, Pumpkin Enzymes, Chamomile and Rose. The cleanser is a bright orange gel that melts into a gorgeous soothing oil once applied to the skin. It is recommended for all skin types but particularly combination, normal, dull or dry. I have blemish-prone skin often have one or two spots on the go at once and I have pesky blackheads on my chin and nose. After a month of using this almost everyday, alongside my REN Clarifying Toning Lotion, my blackheads on my nose are almost non-existent, my skin looks brighter and I have barely any breakouts. I use this once or twice a day and I can say this is my favourite cleanser, EVER.
OSKIA Renaissance Cleansing Gel Review
I am so happy that I forked out the pennies on this baby. My skin has improved, it looks brighter, cleaner and it just feels so lovely when I'm rubbing this into my skin. I use a hot flannel to remove this from my face; it feels so luxurious and my skin doesn't feel tight or dry at all after using this, as I have found with other cleansers. I suppose in a way it's sort of similar to the oil cleansing method as it does melt from a gel into an oil once it comes into contact with the skin, then using the hot flannel I like to hold over my face for about 30 seconds to let the product sink into my skin and draw out impurities. It also smells gorgeous too - soothing but with a hint of rose!

The packaging is just so chic too - it has a pump on the top that just delivers the perfect amount of the gel and it looks lovely sitting on my shelf! The only thing I don't like is that I can't tell how much I have left! I am going through this quite quickly as I love it so much but I'm not sure how long it will last as I can't see how much I've used. It comes in on the higher range of the price scale however I will definitely be re-purchasing this in the future, in my opinion it is well worth the price! You can get it on Only Naturals for £28.00 for 100ml.

Have you tried Oskia before? What did you think?

  7. You certainly seem enthusiastic about this cleanser, the brand has been on my radar but I'm a little hesitant because of the price it's more than I chose to spend but of course when you have a special offer it softens the blow :-)
