A little bit of pampering...

8 Nov 2013

I had nothing planned tonight; the boyfriend has gone on a lads night out with his friends and the rest of my family are watching Revenge so I thought I'd have a little pamper session and then catch up on some blog posts! I thought I'd share with you the products I used....some are ones I have tried before but I also used a few that I haven't had a chance to use yet!

I painted my toe nails as they were looking a bit scruffy so I decided to use my Avril Cosmetics nail polish in Hot Chocolate paired with the butter LONDON Top Coat. Then I moved onto moisturising; I went to the gym two nights ago and my legs and butt are still aching (I worked my ass off!!) so I rubbed some Neal's Yard Remedies Arnica Salve in before moving onto VMV Hypoallergenics Know-It-Oil which is a lovely coconut oil that soaks into my skin so quickly. I don't like coconut but this smells lovely and keeps my legs moisturised for hours.I then used the lovely S.W. Basics Shea Butter Cream on my elbows and heels which is full of shea butter, olive and coconut oils and is just so creamy and smooth.

Onto my face....whilst I was painting my nails I used my Eve of St Agnes Exfoliating Bamboo Polish as an exfoliator but I left it on for about 10-15 minutes as a face mask. I wiped it off with a warm flannel and my face felt super smooth. I haven't used this since I got it in a Souk Souk box a few months ago so I thought I'd try it and I was impressed! I then used my beloved REN Clarifying Toning Lotion (review) and then moved onto a product I've been loving using recently which is the Bare Skin Beauty Radiance Restored Serum. It smells so yummy and warm and is perfect for this time of year! My skin soaks it up so quickly and it takes care of any dry patches or pesky blemishes. Then I used a product I haven't yet tried from another SoukSouk box which is the Glow Skincare Rose & Macadamia face cream. This smells just so lovely and it soaked into my skin. It did take a bit of rubbing in but I think it's because its quite thick (which is great) and also because I had used the serum as well. So my face got some extra nourishing tonight! To finish off I used some of my REN Active 7 Eye Gel that I got free with InStyle magazine last month. I have been loving this it's been great on my dark circles and is really cooling on the eye area.

I treated myself to a White Hot Chocolate and some blog reading!

What have you been using recently for pampering?

  2. WWhat a lovely pampering session you had! :-) I love to pamper my whole body, but since I had my little boy I rarely have the time to do the whole shabang. The S.W. basics serum and the Neals Yard remedies salve sound lovely! And yes, that REN Active 7 eye gel really is a must-have! Great post :-) xx
