REN Clarifying Toning Lotion | Review

22 Aug 2013

I suffer from blackheads around my nose and my chin and I always use facial washes/balm cleansers but they never seem to go away. I drink water everyday and take good care of my skin with various different products so I decided to look for a product to try and get rid of them once and for all!

I was on the look-out for an exfoliating toner after hearing that Caroline Hirons recommends the Clarins Exfoliating Toner. However, I wanted something with more natural ingredients. Ana from Ana Goes Green recommended the REN Clarifying Toning Lotion so whilst I was looking at their Detox Mask, I quickly had a look at their toner.

I ordered it from Look fantastic and received 15% discount and free delivery which was an added bonus! It came within 2 days and I couldn't wait to try it.

My first thoughts were that it was very refreshing on the skin. It smells so natural and you can tell immediately that there are no harsh chemicals in this product. It didn't leave my skin feeling tight like other toners I have tried and my skin felt hydrated and smooth. I followed with my NYR Frankincense Facial Oil and my skin felt so nice! I have been using this almost everyday for about two weeks now and I have definitely noticed a difference in my skin! The pores on my nose are significantly smaller and I have had a few breakouts around my chin but I think that's because this product is decongesting my skin. I actually wake up in the mornings now and don't feel like I need to put any foundation on as the pores around my cheeks and nose are so small!

I am so happy I found this product and will keep you updated on how my skin is progressing!

Ingredients:

Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Water, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Water, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Leaf Extract, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Sodium Lactate, Lactic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Passiflora Quadrangularis Fruit Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Alcohol Denat., Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Bisulfite.

Have you tried any exfoliating toners? What did you think?
