Aromatherapy Associates | Rose Radiance Serum

14 Jun 2013

I recently subscribed to Zest magazine after reading about a fab offer - 3 issues for £1 plus a free Dermalogica set worth £11.50. How could I say no to that?! I love reading Zest magazine it is packed full of healthy eating advice, exercise & lifestyle articles.

I received a parcel in the post a few weeks after subscribing with Aromatherapy Associates Rose Radiance Skin Serum and a Vichy Anti-Ageing Cream. I'm not keen on the Vichy product because it is aimed for people 50+ and as I'm only 20 I'm not that interested in anti-ageing products just yet.
Zest had sent me these items as they had ran out of the Dermalogica sets but this Rose Serum is worth £35.00 alone so I was over the moon to receive this natural product! I didn't even expect to receive anything to be honest as most other companies would just say 'Sorry we're out of stock' so I am very impressed with Zest magazines customer service!

Here is what Aromatherapy Associates say about the Rose Serum:

"A luxurious serum packed with potent plant oils to replenish moisture and re-energise your skin. Evening primrose oil and rose promote elasticity and support natural skin renewal whilst jojoba oil nourishes and smoothes, leaving skin soft, glowing and with renewed radiance.

Key Benefits:

  • Massage over the skin to help boost circulation
  • Aids skin cell renewal and regeneration

Directions for use

Use morning and night after cleansing and toning, apply to face and neck and follow with face oil and moisturiser."
These are the ingredients in the product:

Key ingredients

  • Evening primrose
  • Geranium
  • Jojoba

Ingredients

aqua (water), rosa centifolia flower water, pelargonium graveolens (geranium) flower oil, oenothera biennis (evening primrose) oil, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, dehydroacetic acid, benzyl alcohol, geraniol*, citronellol*, linalool*. *natural essential oil contents **natural plant extracts

It is quite runny but goes on smoothly and sinks in straight away. It leaves my skin feeling moisturised but it isn't oily or greasy and I can definitely see a difference in my skin after using this for about three weeks! You only need one pump to cover your whole face so I can imagine it will last me a good couple of months. I use it in the mornings if my skin is feeling dry and at night after cleansing my skin with my new NYR Frankincense Rejuvenating Cleanser (see post)!

I received this for subscribing to a magazine and even though it was free I would definitely re-purchase and my opinions are not biased.

You can buy it here

Have you tried any serums? Do you think serums are better than just using moisturiser?
