The Vitality Show 2013

25 Mar 2013

This year I was lucky enough to win tickets to the Vitality Show in London. I was going to go anyway, as a first timer and then I won tickets through Body Talk's twitter page so I was really excited. I went with my friend Becky and we had a really fun day.

I came back with bags full of goodies and our arms were aching from carrying them round for a few hours! I got goody bags from The Telegraph, Women's Health magazine, Zest magazine and a free one from the Vitality Show itself. I'm going to write about a few of the things that caught my eye and really stood out for me!

My goody bags!

I really enjoyed wandering around the show and seeing what was on offer. I found some really interesting new food products such as Munchy Seeds, Wykes Farm Cheeses and my favourite of all was Oh So Chocolate. I was excited to see their stand as I had heard about their chocolate on Carly Rowena's YouTube. The bars are 53% dark Belgian chocolate and are packed full of one billion friendly bacteria. They are actually 3 times better at delivering the friendly bacteria to your intestine than drinking bacteria drinks like Yakult. And they are only 72 calories per bar!!! What more could you ask for, healthy chocolate that is actually good for you? Yes please! I ordered mine in the Orange flavour and as a show offer, I got my first 7 day pack for free, my second pack will be half price and then my third pack will be the usual £3.99. It gets delivered free to your house each week on your preferred delivery day so you can enjoy a chocolate bar a day without the guilty feeling afterwards!

I bought the Women's Health goody bag for £10 and got LOADS of freebies inside worth £100. The magazine itself is £3.70 so I see it as paying £6.30 for the other bits n bobs (bargain)! Plus I like to try new things out so it's interesting for me to see what else is on offer from brands I normally use. These are the goodies I got inside the Women's Health goody bag.

I also picked up the Zest magazine goody bag for £3. I received two magazines plus other freebies inside such as a tanning mitt, Gold Collagen, Popchips (I ate them on the coach journey home and they were yummy) and a few other bits.

I also received a Vitality Show goody bag for free, which had a few goodies in too!

Then I paid £1.20 for The Telegraph and received a free Vitality Show tote bag, a pashmina and either a chocolate bar or a book, of course I chose the chocolate bar (naughty me)!

Overall, we had a fun day and it was interesting to learn about new products that were on offer! I don't tend to actually buy things at these events as I often get home and regret it but now I wish I had bought some Wykes Farm Cheese because it was delicious!

I would highly recommend going to this show next year if you're interested in health & fitness as there was such a variety of stands and you could treat yourself to a facial or massage in the day spa! I wish I did this now as it was hosted by Neal's Yard Remedies so I know everybody would have loved their facials! You also could have visited the NYR Organic stand if you were interested in becoming a consultant or purchasing some Neal's Yard products!
